The moment you lift the FlexScan L365 out of its box, it's obvious that this is a well-built piece of equipment. Even the stand is thoughtfully designed - it may be heavier than most due to being metal rather than plastic, but it's guaranteed to keep the panel in one place. Add the thin bezel surrounding the screen, and the L365 makes a perfect TFT screen for any office.

We were pleased to see a DVI input to accompany the D-SUB as well. Even if your current PCs' graphics cards don't include digital outputs, it's a wise future-proofing measure. The screen's analog performance wasn't too far behind its digital one either, with good locking onto the signal, meaning there was minimal picture degradation.

What earned this panel its Honourable Mention award, however, was its digital performance. It claimed first place in two out of the three sections, with the Philips Brilliance only beating it for colour and greyscale reproduction. Even here, the Eizo claimed second place, with its only disappointing scores being in the colour combinations check.

The most comprehensive OSD on test boosted Eizo's features score, but we weren't overly impressed by the integrated speakers. These are only fit for Windows-related sounds, not for music playback. Nevertheless, this panel's build quality, decent price and the excellent image quality deservedly win it an award.
