Davis PowerBeam V

I might have been able to forgive the PowerBeam V's minor foibles if the DLP technology had offered the advantage of lower pricing. However, even in this department, it can't compete with the LitePro 720, which is currently available on the street for just £400 more. You can also expect significantly higher running costs. The metal halide bulbs cost £295 apiece and last just 750 hours, which works out at 39p per hour, whereas the more efficient NEC MultiSync MT810 delivers 13p per hour. It really isn't worth taking the performance cut for such a small relative saving - spend £400 more and get the LitePro 720 instead.
