A new interface, smart albums, guided editing and photo merging keep Photoshop Elements ahead of the pack.

Our only concern is that Elements is beginning to feel uncomfortably bloated when compared to the lightweight, integrated - and free - Google Picasa (web ID: 100716). This isn't a major release, either, making the upgrade price steep for existing users. However, from initial camera download right through to final web upload, Photoshop Elements 6 still offers state-of-the-art, in-depth photo management and editing. As such, Photoshop Elements 6 retains the PC photography crown.
