The nano may be expensive, but it's undeniably a fantastic gadget, and there's already a wealth of accessories for it. One of the more interesting is the diminutive nano Dock.

This isn't just a fancy nano charger, although that's certainly one of its uses. The nano stands proud of the Dock, looking elegant while being much neater than messing around with cables each time you want to plug in and synchronise. Just place an iPod nano in the Dock and it's ready to sync with iTunes. But this isn't just a fancy charger and USB cradle: the biggest benefit of the Dock is the line-out port.

If you want privacy, you can plug earphones into the Dock and control tunes from the nano itself, and not being tied too closely to the PC gives more freedom. And when you want to share music at home or when visiting friends, you can use the mini-jack line out to hook up to an amplifier and speakers. At £16, it's an essential accessory for the nano.
