Acer TravelMate 8006LMi review

When back in the office, the offering of a DVI-D video connector as well as the usual analog VGA port is welcome, as is an S-Video port for hooking up a TV. A docking port is also present for attaching to a more permanent setup - but there's so little missing that the station is far from an essential purchase.

For the business traveller who wants everything except ultraportability, it's difficult to fault the 8006LMi. The only thing to bear in mind is the standard collect-and-return warranty, which covers you for only a year. But with the incredible amount of flexibility and power on offer, and a price that's remarkably reasonable, Acer once again earns itself a Recommended award.
