Compaq Evo N620c

Verdict

Despite its great battery life and good-quality screen, the N620c is let down by disappointing ergonomics and an abnormally high price.

Review Date: 15 Jul 2003

Price when reviewed: (£2,362 inc VAT). Delivery £6 (£7 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
4 stars out of 6

But these are minor complaints compared with the scandalous £2,010 price tag. Unfortunately, even the substantial heritage of Compaq can't justify this. It may be backed up by a three-year, international collect-and-return warranty, but when you can buy the faster and lighter Dell Latitude D600, including the PCI slot-equipped docking station, for £500 less, there's simply no contest. The N620c may be a reasonable machine, but we can't recommend it until the price comes down.
