Samsung P25 C XVC 2200 Fingerprint

Verdict

It may not have Centrino technology, but the P25 C is still a fast and well-built notebook with an excellent BIOS-level fingerprint reader.

Review Date: 18 Jun 2003

Price when reviewed: (£1,721 inc VAT); Delivery £6 (£7 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
5 stars out of 6

It's even well protected, with a strong magnesium alloy lid that hardly flexes at all. The keyboard offers a similar level of quality, with full-sized keys, a pleasing depth to each key press and no annoying sags or dips - our only complaint is that it's too easy to accidentally hit the touchpad and find yourself typing somewhere else.

The P25 C is a well-built notebook with an excellent BIOS-level security system, a decent screen and the styling and essentials needed for business. It may not have Centrino technology or Bluetooth, but it has performance where it counts, as well as integrated 802.11b WLAN. Plus, if you register it within 28 days of purchase, you'll get your return-to-base warranty upgraded to two years' collect-and-return with Samsung's FastGuard scheme.
