Samsung X360

Verdict

Very light and very beautiful, but there isn't enough here to threaten rivals from Lenovo and Sony.

Review Date: 19 Dec 2008

Price when reviewed: (£1,388 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
3 stars out of 6

But for all its plus points the X360 falls short of its major competition - the VAIO VGN-Z21MN/B. Sony's A-Listed effort may weigh an extra 140g, but it packs in so much more. It has an integrated optical drive, a higher resolution and better quality 1,366 x 768 screen, plus a more powerful processor and incredible nine-hour battery life. It also has a three-year warranty compared to the X360's single-year cover.

In return, the Samsung's biggest advantage is its solid-state drive. While that's a great inclusion, it isn't enough to make the X360 excel.
