Packard Bell EasyNote BG45-U-300

Verdict

An ultra-cheap ultraportable with more power than most netbooks, but battery life is a concern.

Review Date: 24 Nov 2008

Price when reviewed: (£350 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
4 stars out of 6

The battery life problem means that if your budget is tight and you need a laptop with serious stamina, you'd be best advised to choose a netbook. For just £298, however, the Packard Bell is by far the cheapest ultraportable we've seen. And if you're after a little more oomph and a higher-resolution screen then there's no doubt that the Packard Bell is impressive value for money.
