Toshiba Portege M800-106 review
in Laptops
Verdict
A nod to Apple's iconic design from Toshiba, but perhaps the original is best

If design and style is a consideration, which is clearly the market that Toshiba is attempting to capture here, then it doesn't approach the minimalist chic of the Apple, and the latter's only real problem is the smaller (160GB) hard disk drive.
The M800 does offer quite a bit of power and storage for the money, but it's simply not a good enough all-round machine. The MacBook offers more style, battery life and usability for not much more money, and if you're willing to forgo the oomph offered by the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, a netbook such as the Eee PC 1000H can be had for much less cash.
