While the first available model of the D430 (web ID: 125296) had attention-grabbing but expensive solid-state storage, this version has a standard notebook disk, taking capacity from a lowly 32GB to a much more practical 60GB. Battery life remains as impressive as before:

3hrs 55mins from the six-cell battery under light use, and 1hr 56mins under intensive use, with the 9-cell battery (included in this price) seeing 6hrs 14mins and 3hrs 9mins respectively. The U7600 processor and 2GB of RAM remain, with an HSDPA networking card for when Wi-Fi won't do. Only the lack of an integrated optical drive grates, as you have to use the bulky media slice. Use E-Value code MAG-430DDD to order this particular model.
