HP Compaq 2710p

Verdict

A versatile and compact tablet PC with stunning battery life, but we do have a few usability complaints.

Review Date: 10 Oct 2007

Price when reviewed: (£1,406 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
4 stars out of 6

These all hamper the 2710p in everyday use, besides making it hard to recommend for straightforward office work. But it does well as a tablet: the touchscreen may not be perfect but it's still one of the best we've seen, and the low weight and long battery life make it ideal for information capture. And, despite a few key usability problems, the 2710p is ruggedly built and has one of the finest keyboards we've seen on an ultraportable. It may serve a very particular niche, but if that's where your business sits, the 2710p offers both good performance and decent value for money.
