Samsung SN6300CT

Verdict

A robust small portable, offering good performance for its class. More memory and a CD-ROM drive as standard would be good, but on the whole the Samsung is easy to like.

Overall Rating
4 stars out of 6

Overall, performance was pretty good, thanks largely to the improved speed of the current-generation Celerons with their full-speed, on-die cache, but there's no doubt that an extra 32Mb of RAM would be a good idea if you want to get the best out of this machine. I couldn't describe the pricing as being competitive, but it's still reasonable. As a mobile workhorse, there's little to fault here.
