Dell Inspiron 7000

Verdict

Not intended for carrying about everywhere, but with its excellent keyboard and very large screen the new Inspiron is a good candidate for anyone seeking a compact replacement for a desktop machine.

Review Date: 1 Nov 1998

Price when reviewed: (£2,466 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
5 stars out of 6

There are a few faster notebooks than the Inspiron. If you really wanted to push the boundaries you could always add another 64Mb of RAM, although for most conventional use that's overkill on a grand scale. As it is, when it comes to buying a desktop replacement, Dell's new model is pretty difficult to beat at the price.
