Compaq Armada M300

Verdict

The Armada is robust, highly portable and pleasant to use, but suffers from the lack of a CD-ROM as standard and lacklustre battery life.

Review Date: 1 Dec 1999

Price when reviewed: (£1,879 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
4 stars out of 6

Apart from these criticisms, there really is very little to dislike about the Armada M300, especially if you take its docking station options into consideration. However, the Armada can't quite dislodge the 300MHz Pentium II PortÚgÚ 3110CT from the A List. The 3110CT's superior battery life, together with the inclusion of a CD-ROM and port replicator in its £1,695 price tag, makes Toshiba's offering a more attractive buy, despite its slower processor.
