Logitech Illuminated Keyboard review

Well I needed a new keyboard, so on the strength of your review I ordered this one from ebuyer. Excellent keyboard, illumination on some of the peripheral keys such as CTRL CAPS LOCK TAB etc are not that evenly illuminated, but it's no deal breaker. Overall I'm delighted with it, make less errors and it loks good. However the legs at the back are too short and the keyboard lies a bit too flat for me, easily sorted though. Recommended, but not quite A list. 4 stars, imho. Would buy another.

Layout
The key layout - in particular Insert and Delete is unacceptable! It defies all standards including those set by Logitech itself. This keyboard is apotheosis of frustration for lefties and the old-school WordStar users. (e.g.: Shift/Ctrl-Insert key combos)

No problems for lefties
I'm not sure what the Stasi was on about with regards lefties - I've just purchased this keyboard on the strength of the above review and am very impressed. I'm not sure why the double-height delete button (as seen on many modern keyboards) is a particular issue for the left handed amongst the populace.
However, the insert key has only gone for a mild wander about 10 mm above it's normal position, so it doesn't change the world.

What about mechanical keyboards?
I bought this and have found it good for a non-mechanical keyboard. But, why haven't you reviewed mechanical keyboards such as the Cherry G80? I remember from the old days, they are in a different league.
