Overall Rating
4 stars out of 6

Shure has been producing in-ear monitors for professional musicians for years, and the know-how it's built up is evident in the quality of its consumer headphones. Its latest SE102s are a noise isolating design, anapproach that runs the risk of creating discomfort, but the SE102s are among the snuggest we've ever worn. The cable from each earpiece hooks over the top of your ears to take the strain, and there are four sets of rubber earplugs in the box to ensure a perfect fit. Aside from this, the cables are modular and feel extremely well made. And sound is excellent, with plenty of detail and a neutral quality typical of Shure products. They can't quite compete with the bombastic excellence of Sennheiser's superb CX95s at this price, though.
