OmniPage Pro 8 review

OmniPage then automatically controls the process without involving the scanner's interface and presents the results in a three-pane window, allowing you to either select zones manually or have OmniPage do it for you. For a page of any complexity at all, manual zoning produces vastly better results.

In my view, OmniPage is a superior package for most OCR requirements. Arguably, it's more accurate than TextBridge, but any difference will be insignificant for most instances. OmniPage has a more comprehensive interface, is faster and, on average, handles challenging documents better. There's not much between them, but unless I needed Adobe Acrobat output, I'd choose OmniPage Pro 8.
