NEC PowerMate ML460 Pro

Verdict

An immensely powerful, well-designed business PC, but it's overkill for most offices - consider a lower specification

Review Date: 20 Oct 2006

Price when reviewed: (£704 inc VAT)

Overall Rating
5 stars out of 6

You should also consider a lower-specified ML460. For instance, part code PD6NH6R-0005Z01 refers to a model with a Celeron D 352, 1GB of RAM and an 80GB hard disk, for just £349. And that will be fine for Vista too.

But, if you want vPro and need the power of Intel's dual-core E6600, then the reviewed specification certainly offers better value than either of the Esprimos we saw last month, thanks to twice the amount of RAM and hard disk space. And remember that NEC's three-year on-site next-business-day warranty has a quicker response time than Fujitsu Siemens' 48-hour offering.
