Plenty of speed for 3D and desktop apps. Only the price and noise when under load may put you off

The warranty is the one area where Hi-Grade skimps, with only a one-year policy as standard. Hi-Grade will dispatch an engineer, though, rather than merely pick up the system. And upgrading to a three-year on-site, next-day response policy costs only £85. As long as you get the go-ahead from a Hi-Grade engineer first, you're free to upgrade the system however you like.

This system is undoubtedly expensive - and it doesn't include a monitor. But you do get a case full of cutting-edge, high-power components. Technically, our only criticism is that the system gets loud and whines when pushed hard, but it's hardly unique in that. With well-chosen components, plenty of storage space and bags of power, it's a great choice if you can partner it with a suitably high-resolution monitor.
