The X2 processor is cooled by AMD's reference heatsink and fan and, although the ST2 is audible while working hard, it never becomes so loud as to be distracting. The case is manufactured by Foxconn and, although it's hardly a great looker, it's solidly constructed.

The ST2 has a range of practical applications for both home and professional users, and on a day-to-day basis we quickly found ourselves using all three monitors at once. It sports some very high-spec components, so it won't feel the strain for years, and the three monitors are a godsend for administrative and creative environments. Throw in a three-year return-to-base warranty, free delivery and the price of £1,624, and the ST2 is strikingly good value for money.
