Its power became more evident at the highest of resolutions. Every other PC inthe group dropped to unplayable levels at 2,560 x 1,600 with very high quality, but the Chillblast maintained a steady 35fps. It's clear that if you're thinking about gaming at extremely high resolutions - and have a monitor that will cope - then the Fusion Titan is the machine to buy. Further impressive performances in our Call of Juarez and Call of Duty 4 tests bolster the Chillblast's claim as the best gaming machine in the Labs.

It's a performance that's even more heartening when you consider theprice: at £2,249 exc VAT, the Fusion Titan isvastly cheaper than the machines from CyberPower and Scan, both of which costalmost £3,500. In fact, it's the second-cheapest machine on test, despite beingone of the best performersand possessing a case that'spacked with helpful touches andattention todetail.

It's the 3D performance, when combined with the incredibly quiet operation, superb design and decent price that makes the Chillblast a worthy runner-up this month. It loses out to the Scan by dint of that machine's immense power and similarly impressive design but, if you like the look of the monolithic case and gaming is your main priority, the Fusion Titan is a worthy contender for your cash.
