You could, of course, buy a similarly specified budget PC and a decent 20in TFT for less than the Sony VAIO VGC-JS1E but that would be missing the point. It takes up less room on a desk than most monitors of its size, yet has an entire PC - and a fully functional one at that - crammed in at the rear. For years Apple users have been happy to pay a silly premium for this sort of beautiful design, so if Sony can offer the same for a comparative pittance, we'll be first in line.
