Corsair Flash Voyager 64GB

Verdict

Overall Rating
4 stars out of 6

Yes, that's right - a 64GB USB flash drive. It isn't just large in capacity, either; with all those flash memory chips to squeeze in, this latest addition to Corsair's Voyager range is also physically big at 100mm in length. It still has the standard Voyager waterproof, rubberised armour and protective cap, and your sizeable investment also gets you niceties such as a USB extender cable. Performance is good, with a sustained read rate of 27.7MB/sec and write at 8.3MB/sec. Windows XP isn't keen on a 64GB FAT32-formatted removable volume, though, and we were only able to reformat to NTFS under Vista. You pay a big premium for that hefty capacity, too, but the drive is at least guaranteed for ten years. For those with large wallets only, it's a very useful storage device.
