One of our favourites, and the one we decided to put in our A List Extra supplement, is the Cooler Master Real Power M700.

Despite costing just £66, it's a modular supply that can pump out a full 700W, leaving bags of headroom for everyday use.

Its electrics achieved a remarkable 87% efficiency at low loads.

And with ten Molex and six SATA connectors, it's uncommonly well equipped as well.

Its four +12V rails are officially limited to 19A each, which is a shade below some graphics card manufacturers' recommendations, but in practice it worked like a charm.
