If you have to lug your laptop about, a decent carry case is essential, and the Kensington Contour is one of the least cumbersome we've tested. Cleverly designed to hold your laptop in portrait rather than landscape orientation, it's narrower than most, and this means it's much easier to carry on crowded trains or along busy streets. The padded interior pouch will protect laptops of up to 15in in size and, once stowed, gadgets are well protected from knocks and scrapes. You also get three similarly lined but smaller pockets for phones, PDAs or iPods. The only downside is that once notebook and gizmos are packed there's little room for anything else.
