WordWeb Pro is now at version 5. Aside from support for Windows Vista, there's the ability to hold down the Control key and look up a word with one click of the mouse: you only need to select the word first if you want to replace it with a synonym. The new web reference tabs make it a one-click experience to check Wikipedia or Wiktionary as well, and you can even use the Windows speech engine to pronounce words. The language database includes thousands of new senses, synonyms and clarifications, and customisable cross-referencing lets you use other installed dictionaries. At just £16, it's terrific value, although additional word lists can soon double that initial cost if you need them all. By Davey Winder Sponsored Links
