Source warns of Sony PSP delay 11:59AM, Friday 4th February 2005
European gamers itching to get their hands on one of Sony's new PSP games consoles may have to wait a little longer. According to Reuters, a source at Sony throws doubt on the company's ability to hit its end-of-March shipment date.

The source at Sony is saying that 'there's a possibility that the launch could be delayed'. If so, the company is in danger of missing the Easter shopping peak. Sony already missed out when it failed to hit its own target for having the device on Europe's shelves in time for Christmas.

Meanwhile arch rival has committed itself to a date of March 11 for its Dual Screen handheld. The launch of the Dual Screen was planned for one week before the Sony PSP, but it seems Nintendo may get an unchallenged run for a bit longer than it thought.

Sony has committed to shipping one million PSPs to Europe.
