Internet World 2003: Zezame 2.0 opens for Web business

Zezame has released version 2.0 of its group collaboration software. Zezame 2.0 brings the familiar Post-It note approach to the team-based review of Web sites.

Using the software, group members can place comments about a site onto the site itself for others to see, a bit like the smart tags for documents in Microsoft Office. The system can email other participants when a new note is posted, the status and appearance of notes can be changed and the comments associated with the tags can always be edited.

All Web pages are available for the Zezame treatment, not just sites created in house. The system can also store old version of Web pages so comments can continue on sites no longer live on the Internet.

Currently Zezame requires the use of IE as the browsing interface, but the company said they are looking to extend the range of browsers supported. Other Microsoft-oriented system requirements include a Windows server (NT4 SP5, 2000 or XP), Microsoft IIS 4/5 and SQL Server 7.0/2000. Pricing starts from £1,000.

A trial version of Zezame and more information can be downloaded from www.zezame.com.
