Borland Enterprise Server is a deployment system - to use Borland's terms - aimed at large-scale, business-critical systems. It provides a platform for managing a range of business applications and Web Services.
Features new to version 5.2 include improved process reporting for optimising applications, support for JDK 1.4.1 (Java Development Kit), tighter integration with the development environment JBuilder 8, and support for IPv6 and SSL Certificate pass-through.
Available now, Borland Enterprise Server comes in three forms: a Web Edition, a VisiBroker Edition and an AppServer Edition. A development licence of the AppServer Edition also ships with Borland JBuilder, Enterprise Edition.
Version 5.2 can run on Windows, Solaris and (Red Hat) Linux.
You can find more info on the new server at the Borland Web site.
