We asked Bowe to comment on the new code of conduct, but she declined. Perhaps because she resigned as chair of the Consumer Panel in January 2008 - and became a board member and subsequently chair of Ofcom itself in December.
Her successor at Ofcom Consumer Panel (now renamed the Communications Consumer Panel), meanwhile, lauded the new code as "very good news". With the hawks tamed, who's left to fight for the consumer?
