High-end audio firm Denon is selling an Ethernet cable that retails at a staggering £250.
The 1.5m ultra premium Denon Link cable is "designed for the audio enthusiast", according to Denon's website, although strangely omits to mention its other target audience: those with more money than sense.
"Made from high purity copper wire and high performance connection parts, the AK-DL1 will bring out all the nuances in digital audio reproduction from any of our Denon DVD players with the Denon Link feature," the website claims, in a valiant attempt to justify the price tag.
"Attention to detail when building this cable was used by empoying [sic] high quality insulation, tin-bearing alloy shielding and woven jacketing to reduce vibration and to add durability," the website continues, although for that money you'd expect them to be able to spell.
"Additionally, signal directional markings are provided for optimum signal transfer. Rounded plug levers help prevent breakage," it concludes. And at £250 per pop, you'd certainly expect it to last.
Head over to Denon's website for details of stockists. While stocks last, obviously.
