Workers want Internet access, not gym access

Would you rather be surfing than bench pressing? Of course you would, and a new report backs this up with statistics.
The Mouse in the House report surveyed 2,500 people across Britain, France and Germany. The findings show that 33 per cent of workers said that an Internet connection at home would benefit them more than access to the local gym. In fact, 32 per cent of 1,500 Brits asked said that they would take advantage of a PC subsidisation programme if their company offered it.
An important finding showed that a possible 35 million out of 80 million people in the three countries did not have access to a home PC. If the respondents had Internet access, half of them would use it to learn new skills while others said that using e-mail and helping their children with homework would be a major use of the home computer.
