Sky boasts one million broadband customers

BSkyB claims to have signed up more than one million customers to its broadband service, making it the UK's fastest growing provider.
BSkyB began offering internet and satellite packages last July and says around 30% of the one million who have taken up its broadband service are new to the company.
According to the company this uptake makes its broadband offering the fastest growing in Britain, ahead of Carphone Warehouse, BT Broadband, Tiscali and Virgin Media.
The company claims its rate of growth underlines its transformation from a leader in the £7 billion television industry to a challenger in the £25 billion market for entertainment and communications.
