Freedom2Surf throws the book at users 11:41AM, Wednesday 26th July 2006
Freedom2surf is offering two free downloadable audio books to all its broadband customers, who will be able to choose from 10,000 audiobooks, language lessons and radio programmes.

The Audible.com titles can be downloaded straight on to a user's Mac or PC and then burned to a CD or transferred to an MP3 player. They are compatible both with iTunes and Windows Media Player, via a plug-in, and can be upoaded to over 200 different devices, including MP3 players, smartphones, PDAs, and all iPods.

Louis Wahl, head of marketing at Audible, is delighted with the partnership.

'All of our customers have found out that downloading digital audio allows them to enjoy great books wherever they are,' Wahl said.

Freedom2surf notes that the offer will be of particular interest to its expanding Mac user base, quoting research from IDG that found that it was the most popular ISP amongst Mac users, with 12 per cent of the market.
