Apple marches on with new Boot Camp 12:02PM, Wednesday 12th July 2006
Apple has released an updated version of its Boot Camp software for running Windows on Intel Macs.

Release notes are unavailable, suffice to say that it can be expected to include a host of bug fixes and tweaks.

Despite introducing the software and garnering plenty of positive press as a result, Apple has recently been touting an alternative means of running Windows on a Mac, Parallel Workstation. This, unlike Boot Camp, does not require the user to leave OS X behind, albeit temporarily. Both require the purchase of a copy of Windows.

Boot Camp 1.0.2 beta is a free download from apple.com/macosx/bootcamp. The final version is expected to be included in the next version of OS X - Leopard - which will be previewed for the first time at Apple's developers' get-together next month.
