The scheme will enable sellers to donate a percentage of money made through sales on eBay to Computer Aid. The charity will, in turn, use the donations to ship kit to needy schools and hospitals. The exact percentage levied is the choice of the seller.

The idea is that the scheme lets buyers know that they are bidding on items that are helping a worthy cause, and sellers will have the satisfaction of helping Computer Aid. Apparently, eBay will also match the percentage donated by the seller with a donation of their own.
The development is part of the 'eBay for Charity' scheme and Computer Aid is intending to professionally refurbish and upgrade hundreds of Pentium 3 and Pentium 4 computers.
To date, the UK charity claims to have provided more than 60,000 computers to 99 different countries.
The scheme is secured by Mission Fish, a non-profit service provider, and the place to find more information is here.
