Opera opens for Windows Mobile

Opera has made its Mobile Web Browser available in beta form for the Windows Mobile Pocket PC platform.
Version 8.5 (beta) of Opera Mobile Web browser runs on Windows Mobile 2003 and 5.0, to make Opera's interface available to devices from the likes of Orange, Samsung or even the recently-converted Palm. Supporting CSS2, DOM 2 and JavaScript, the beta includes Opera's rendering technology that reformats Web pages to fit any screen width.
'Ever since we released Opera 8 for Windows Mobile 2003 Smartphone in June 2005, people have been asking for Opera for their Pocket PCs,' said Opera's VP of Engineering, Christen Krogh. 'We are very pleased to offer the latest version of Opera Mobile to Pocket PC owners, so they may finally have a proper Web experience on their devices.'
Opera Mobile 8.5 beta for Windows Mobile Pocket PC can be downloaded from www.opera.com/products/mobile/products/winmobileppc/. It's available for a 45-day trial period.
