LaCie is launching a design-led stackable external hard drive system, which it is calling the 'Brick'.
The range was designed by Ora-Ïto and includes desktop and mobile editions in capacities as great as 500GB and 120GB respectively.
Modelled on a famous children's construction toy, the Brick is equipped with a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface or dual FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces. The 300GB and 500GB editions include a fan to regulate temperature, and all are supplied with backup software for Macs and PCs.
Prices have yet to be announced, but the units are available today for pre-ordering through the LaCie website.
