Adobe issues Acrobat security update

Adobe has updated several versions of its Acrobat and Reader software to address a highly critical security vulnerability.
The update concerns a vulnerability that potentially can be exploited by malicious people to compromise a user's system. The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified boundary error in the core application plug-in and can be exploited to cause a buffer overflow when a specially crafted file is opened.
Updates are available for Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat versions 6.0.x and 7.0.x for Mac and Windows and for Adobe Acrobat 5.0.x for Mac from www.adobe.com/support/downloads.
