Mozilla updates Firefox and Thunderbird clients 11:57AM, Wednesday 20th July 2005
Mozilla has released new versions of its Firefox Web browser and Thunderbird email client to fix problems introduced the previous updates.

Versions 1.0.5 of both applications caused problems with a number of extensions and as a result localised (languages other than US English) were not released, causing some concern amongst users who wanted the security fixes that were incorporated in that version.

Those fixes are present in the now extension-friendly versions of the two programs, which can be downloaded as follows: Firefox 1.0.6; Thunderbird 1.0.6.

Also from the Mozilla stable, the Camino browser for Mac OS X has taken another step towards fulfillment. A second alpha versions of 0.9 has been released and includes the long-awaited (at least by UK users) fix for the pound symbol. It also improves typing speed when entering long paragraphs in text fields and accelerates back/forward performance.

Camino 0.9a2 is available from www.caminobrowser.org.
