Creative shrinks Zen MP3 players 4:50PM, Monday 18th July 2005
After the Micro, the Neon, the Touch, the NX, the Xtra and the USB 2, there's another Zen family of MP3 players from Creative - the Zen Nano Plus.

The 'ultra portable' model, which works with MP3 or WMA files, comes in 3 capacities - 256MB, 512MB and 1GB - and a range of 10 colours. It is a reworking of the MuVo Micro N200 series and commemorates, according to Creative, the 10th anniversary of the MP3 format.

'People with active lifestyles want a complete solution they can just pick up and

put in a tracksuit or bag,' believes Geraldine Lee, European Business Manager for MP3 Players with Creative. 'The Zen Nano Plus offers them everything they want, from superior Creative MP3 and WMA audio quality to a built-in microphone that's great for journalists or students, together with direct line-in encoding to MP3 for maximum flexibility.'

The LCD displays details such as song title, play time, play modes (including shuffle and sequential play), voice recording, and preset settings. There is also an FM radio.

Measuring 3.35cm x 6.55cm x 1.3cm WxHxD) and weighing 22g (without battery), Creative claims a life of up to 18 hours from 2 AAA batteries.

You can find more details on the Zen Nano Plus on the Creative website.

Suggested pricing (including VAT) is as follows: the 256MB costs £59.99, the 512MB version £79.99 and the 1GB version £99.99.
