The first of these will reportedly be the Tungsten E2, several pictures of which have found their way onto Engadget. The successor to the 18-month-old, sub-£150 Tungsten E is expected to arrive as early as next week, not least because a US online retailer briefly had the device on offer to pre-order, with a 10 April shipping date.

The other new PDA, reports claim, will be the first palmOne device with a hard drive. The LifeDrive will have a 4GB disc in addition to 32MB of RAM and will support USB 2 for fast file transfer. It is also said to be equipped with both Bluetooth and WiFi and will be powered by a 416MHz processor and have a 320x480, 18-bit display, all of which will make it 180 per cent thicker than the Tungsten T5. The price is estimated to be in the region of £350-400.
However some reports suggests that the LifeDrive name may in fact be a one-off commission for pharmaceutical company Pfizer and the device will go on general sale as the Tungsten T6 (or T7) in June.
