Robbie Williams' upcoming Greatest Hits album will be available on memory card, according to label EMI.
While the card will cost nearer £30, rather than the £12.99 or so you might pay for a CD, the album contains video content accessible by a range of devices including the latest mobile phones and PDAs.
Although it is not yet known what capacity memory card the new album will be offered on, such cards are currently available with capacities of up to 1GB or more.
Releasing a commercial album on this format is thought to be a first for a major artist, and the album - released today - will be available throughout 600 Carphone Warehouse stores this month.
