Spammers hire infected PCs by the hour

Messagelabs offers a managed email service that scans company mail at an Internet level, before it hits the network. Sunner claims such services effectively close that nine hour window between virus discovery and signature roll out. 'As a managed service, we can update based on vulnerabilites rather than viruses,' he said.
