Intel will debut its new Centrino mobile processor, codenamed 'Dothan', on 16 February. This is according to a report on the Californian-based website XbitLabs.
'Dothan' is the codename for the next-generation core for the Pentium M mobile processor, succeeding 'Banias'. Dothan will be made on Intel's 90nm process.
The processor will start at 1.80GHz with 2MB of L2 cache (the current Pentium M has 1MB) and a 400MHz bus speed. Also released will be 1.7 and 1.6GHz models, according to Xbit. The three processors will be priced at $637, $455 and $326, respectively. Low voltage and ultra-low-voltage chips will also be released.
The Dothan announcements will coincide with the spring Intel Developer Forum.
