'Silent computing means business' is Hush's slogan for the latest addition to its Silent PC range - the Hush ATX.

Coming in a silver or black aluminium ATX casing (width 440mm x depth 380mm x height 100mm), the system is aimed any environment where quietness is at a premium, such as broadcast and medical settings, or even the living room.

'No longer do users have to sacrifice performance to achieve even a reasonable level of silence and comfort,' claims the General Manager of Hush Technologies, Markus Kremer. 'This allows PCs into places they might not otherwise be welcome. With the increased power possible in the ATX, it means that there are few remaining limits for the application of silent solutions.'

Powered by a fanless 240W power supply, with a FIC PRM-800T mainboard, it is compatible with Pentium 4, Celeron, Athlon XP or Duron processors. Graphics processing is courtesy of a Radeon 9200V and connectivity options include four USB ports, two FireWire ports, and serial, paralleled and 10/100 Base-T Ethernet support. In terms of AGP/PCI options, there is either one AGP slot and one PCI slot or two PCI slots. There is room for one slim-line optical drive, and one 3.5in hard drive bay.

More information can be found at www.hushtechnologies.net.

The RRP for the Hush ATX is £930 (1,449 euros).
