ATI's Radeon GPU (graphics processing unit) features in three new graphics cards from Creative.

The Creative Radeon 9800XT, at the highest end of the range, is for the ultra-mega-super gamer, while the Creative Radeon 9600 is aimed at the merely serious gamer. That leaves the Radeon 9200SE, for users who want 'performance and value' as Creative puts it.

The spec for the 9800XT-based card (pictured) includes 256MB of DDR memory and full support for DirectX 9.0 functionality - 'a totally immersive and cinematic performance with incredible speed' boasts Creative.

While the 9800XT is based an on eight-pipeline graphics throughput, the Creative Radeon 9600 has a quad-pipe architecture. It also has 256MB of DDR memory and optimised support for DirectX 9.0 and AGP 8x.

Finally, the Creative Radeon 9200SE is a 3D graphics card with 128MB of DDR memory, AGP 8x and dual monitor support.

All three cards should available within the next week, when UK pricing will be confirmed. More info will be found at www.europe.creative.com.
