Mobo manufacturer Soltek has launched a new 'Pro' top of the line motherboard, which is said to support the new 'Prescott' range of Intel Pentium processors due out by the end of the year.

The SL-865Pro-FGR mainboard supports Intel Socket 478 microprocessors and Hyper Threading technology.

The mobo is based around the Intel 865PE chipset and features a 400/533/800 MHz Front Side Bus and supports Dual Channel DDR SDRAM running at speeds of 400, 333 and 266 MHz. The board is claimed to support up to 4GB of RAM via 4 x 184-pin DDR DIMMs.

The board is fitted with an AGP 8X/4X Slot and five 32-bit PCI Bus Master Slots. There are Serial ATA-150 ports and two Parallel ATA-33/66/100/133 channels. Amongst the I/O options are the usual serial, parallel port and USB 2.0/1.1 ports.

The company claims that the mobo can be overclocked to 1200MHz via its 'Overclocking Pro' technology.
