Intel turns laptop bags into fashion handbags

When it comes to logos and prominent labels, Intel and the world of fashion have a lot in common. This has now been extended to the realm of laptop bags.

Fashion designer Julien Macdonald, of Givenchy, has been commissioned to create what Intel describes as a 'luxury handbag for the 21st Century'. The results are pictured.

Produced in a limited edition range, Intel says any profits from sale of the bags will be donated to charity. Priced at around £400, the retail outlets that will carry them have yet to be confirmed.

'Laptop bags, until now, have all too often let women down, typically made from cheap materials and in dull designs,' said MacDonald. 'Not exactly the luxury item women dream of to match their Prada shoes.'

'The women I design for are constantly on the move, leading busy work and social lives, and technology plays an important role in keeping them connected, and on top of all aspects of their lives,' he added.
